Okay chaps and chapesses - a few of you have already been kind enough to respond to my questions in various sub-forums, and this is the last one for now!

I've nailed down the final spec for my new build, and would be grateful if anyone could cast an eye over it in case I have made any glaring errors - case too small, memory not supported by mobo, that kind of thing...

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 AM3 ATX motherboard
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2GHz Black Edition 8MB L3 Cache
RAM: 2x2GB Kingston DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu kit
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 460 OC 1GB GDDR5 OC Edition
HDD: Western Digital 500GB 7200rpm SATAII 32MB Caviar Black
Case: Xigmatek Asgard All-Black Mid-tower
Cool: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2

PSU: Seasonic 600W - recycled from existing system
Opt: Sony 24x DVD-RW - recycled from existing system

O/S: Windows 7 Home Premium

All in, comes to about £520.

I hope to order tonight or tomorrow, so if anyone feels the need to shout "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" before I do, please feel free!

Seems fine to me, however would recommend case with cable management - better airflow, better look, more space

Hmmm... any suggestions? The Asgard is ~£30, I could stretch a little for an alternative. I'll be salvaging a bunch of velcro cable ties and tubular cable covers from the old rig... never really thought about cable management!

Thanks for the case suggestion - I do like that, and keen on Coolermaster anyway. Will weigh it all up before ordering!

I didn't realise that OCUK weren't stocking the 955, I am sourcing from different places that I'm not mentioning for obvious reasons - I will be purchasing some items from OC though!

Yeah, think they want to maximise their profit margins with that extra £2 price premium!
