Hi guys im after a laptop for home and work use, doesnt have to be anything special its only running light duty apps and internet browsing, however i need to be to good quality as it will be lugged around a huge factory, long jounerys, going abroad ect

seen a Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 for around the £400 mark, are they any good?

i would check out the t range. a t400 would be ideal. u can pick one up on the bay as new with most of the remaining 3 year warranty left and it will be well with in your budget.

Lenova are great business laptops from what i've read, keep your options open though, many people will reply to this thread.

EDIT: You shouldnt really be mentioning "the bay" on here i dont think.

Lenovo's are indeed great business laptops.

The SL510 is due for replacement, and was never really a business laptop anyway as it's missing features like the TPM chip. Look at the L412 if you want new. I'd personally opt for a lightly used pre-owned T61/T400 instead.

Just bought a Dell Lattitude E6400 with 28 months remaining warranty, a little more then i wanted to spend but its absolutley stunning, tryed an asus laptop but hated it after about 30 seconds, dell is c2d 2.53ghz, 4gb, nvidia quadro or something like that, 14" 1440x900, going to treat it to a 120gb SSD aswell
looks exactly like this one but mine is the latest one with windows 7 and no fingerprint scanner
