Who has hung their keys up for the winter?

The bike won't be coming out until next year but I'll drive most days through the winter. Snow and ice doesn't bothers me as I adapt my driving to suit the conditions.

I might be forced to get the bus to work if it gets as bad as last year, no one could get their cars out of the cul-de-sac last year because its on a little hill, but at the moment hell no, its just a bit of ice and snow I dont see what all the panic is about, the media hype is hilarious and embarrasing at the same time

I think I shall be ok

Actually I'm still driving the c2 as the roads are fine round here!

I'll definately be driving all through the winter, I'm not a woman.

seriously, even my gf, in fact every woman i think ive ever known has just carried on driving

imagine if yo momma, when you went to school, was so lame she just wouldnt drive to get you to school, your friends would be so jealous, but would still rip you for having a lame mum who couldnt drive

The Disco on new A/T tyres is proving very capable in the snow, but as has already been said is just as useless on ice than the rest of the cars - maybe even more so due to the increased weight.
I've alread played good samaritan once this weekend getting a van out of the snow and I dare say I'll be helping a few more before the end of the winter.

Most annoying thing about the Manta in winter is the windscreen freezes on the inside.

Fill up an old sock with rice and place it in the passenger foot well overnight. In the morning put the sock inside - somewhere warm. Repeat until all the moisture inside has been absorbed by the rice. No more frozen interior!

I've decided to hang the Baja's keys up until it warms up.

I need to rebuilt the engine. Thats really not a snow and ice kind of job.

Or buy 500 pairs of shoes and use the silica gel packets to absorb the moisture :p

Any particular rice work best?

I wish it would snow properly here.

We got a dusting yesterday, it made the roads wet and a bit icy, and gave everything not stone/concrete/tarmac a coating but then it stopped :(
