Missing PDI stamp on new car

Hi all,
I recently collected my new Ford Fiesta - all seems well, except the service history doesn't have a PDI stamp. I forgot to check this at the time.
I've phoned the dealer to enquire and he gave me a spiel about how he'd worked there for 9 years and had never stamped that page before.
Is it worth making a fuss about? What might be the harm in having the PDI stamp missing?

Should have told him that surely Ford would have put "this page intentionally not to be stamped" if they had intended it not to be stamped?

Its had the plates fitted so its had a PDi lol. We dont stamp the pdi page when we do pdi's in work, but we dont have the hand/services books when we do them.
Personally i wouldnt worry.

Heh, tell that to the amount of people who have driven away in their new cars with the transport blocks still in place.

Surely a number plate just means its been registered, other dealer's might have a different PDI procedure (ie. the numberplate isn't part of it).

How does that follow?

You lost me around the part when you were saying just because the plates are on it, it's definitely had a pdi...

To be honest, I'm not really concerned from the point of view of whether or not the PDI's actually been done correctly - after all, the car was visually in good condition, and if they didn't want to do it they could just as easily have stamped it anyway (and then I would never have thought anything was amiss).

I'm more concerned from the point of view of resale value and problems that the missing stamp might cause in the future.

Ford PDi procedure is the same across the board, besides the different things fitted IE sat navs.

Did you quote my reply for any reason? Nothing I said assumed you weren't concerned about resale :).

You were discussing whether or not it looked like the PDI had happened - so I was just making clear that the question wasn't really about whether or not the PDI had been done properly, but whether or not it's worth making a fuss about the stamp. :-)

ford = tards on the ST i had from them they left the transport blocks in the suspension, that was fun! not! then they did it again on the Mrs and her fiesta!!
