What to buy for £150

I was wondering what people rekon the best buy for around the £150 mark for a new graphics card is?

What games do you play and at what resolution?

Is it purely for gaming?

IMO the 6850s are still a bit over priced!

If I were spending around £150 today I'd get this the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 SUPER OC 1024MB

can be had from another retailer for £153.99!

It will mainly be for world of warcraft. Currently play at 1680x945 however if possible would idealy like to play at a better resolution. I'm not sure what the cards abilitys are at my price range.

I think it's generally considered nvidia cards run wow better, so I'd probably go for a 460 1GB and overclock it.

The best 1GB GTX 460 you can find, awesome bang for the buck.

The 6850 would have been a contender but the price is too high

If you want to save afew pounds would go for the gtx460 if you can afford the extra and go for the 6850

I wouldn't trust this bench too much, it shows that 5970 gets nearly same FPS as 5770. Also 5970 is below 5830 most of the time, even if the crossfire didn't work a single bit, the 5970 should still be faster even as single chip card.

splash out the extra £25 and get a 6870 (Y)

you should buy at the 200 price mark. 150 is stable right now, the 200-250 is in the process of getting really shaken up, there are bargains there.

470 would be my buy.
