Why oh why do we always suffer pain when wearing new shoes!!

Bought some new shoes this week and my ankle is raw and bloody!!! Hurts like hell too!

What do you guys do to help with the pain (Not the obvious, don't wear them!!) I have plasters on my anlkes but they still hurt!! I would wear a different pair but i only have one pair of shoes!!!

You can score the top of the leather round the ankle part which softens them up.

They sound like plastic crap shoes though tbh, as nice leather ones are always ok.

Just man up and walk around with bleeding heels for a few days, don't forget the plasters. I find that rubbing the leather on the inside at the top of the heel helps.

If I put a pair of shoes on and they are uncomfortable then they aren't for me. I'll keep looking until the right pair turn up that are comfortable. This normally involves spending more money :(

They are leather, from Clarks. Nice shoes, cost me £29!!! lol, they were reduced for £60 though. Now i know why!! lol

Never had ankle pain or anything apart from a blister or two then again I only buy air walks and for the first two days they rub like hell :(

loopylou... disagree, It's not always about cost: I usually buy expensive brand clothes/shoes - quality vs price not always matching, same with shoes, got Zara shoes for £29.99 on sale, 2 years old now, and as new!
Had Louie Vuitton pair, lasted me less than year!
