***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Maybe a dense question, but how are you supposed to accrue such high credits considering once you complete an event you can't repeat it to obtain more cash. I'm being particular prudent about what I buy at the moment.

I know you gain more cash as you progress but surely there will come a point when you complete most events and can't get any more cash? There's a few events that I've given up on getting gold so I'm curious how you can go and earn sufficient credit to purchase one of the really highly prized cars.

There doesn't appear to be any banks you can go rob ;)

The only events which you can't re-earn credits on are the ones in the Special Events, and the license tests of course. Everything in A-Spec and B-Spec can be replayed over and over. There's a couple of events in Extreme that are great for grinding.

:)

You can do an event (and earn the same amount of credits) as many times as you like. Just not the special events.

Beaten!

Got to grind the races I'm afraid, only way to get money:(

It does get boring but i went back and did like the wind on the indy track 6 times and at 70k a time for 5 laps you soon get some money .

Grinding is for RPG games, not for driving games.
I don't want to drive the same race 50 times in a row.
PD should make us be able to select a track and opponents to earn moeny and EXP.

If some of the cars are >10 million how are we supoosed to get >1000 cars in the garage  that would require a LOT of races :(

Just done the historic racing cup in a camaro 66. I had to ram the Toyota 7 off the road and block like hell. Anyone else do the same? LoL

Can't you use a Countach LP400 for that race?

I used the Countach as well, and had to ram the other cars to even stand a chance. Took about 10 attempts, but I had to persevere as I spent approx 150k upgrading the Countach.

Got my R32 Skyline GTR at 641BHP. Top speed is 211mph :(. Think I if I fine tune the suspension I could probs get a bit more.

Don't know if I want to purchase the R34, as I didn't like it much first time I used it. However the Mines BNR34 kicks ass.

R33 is still a BEAST though. :D

I gave in and bought the game.. especially as i bashed it a bit. Its installing now and im quite excited. I got it for £33 too :)

Or you could buy the same car 1001 times. :D

EDIT: Can you gift Paint jobs? If you can, can someone gift me the White paintjob for the Nissan Skyline R32 GTR Premium model from the dealership?

Haha nooooo :p, I want that actual colour. If that was the case I could use the Championship White from Honda. Need manufacturer colour to keep the stockish look. ;)

Oh I see my paint isn't good enough for you. It's because I'm Welsh isn't it! :(

I think we should see other people...

Cheers for the info. Ok, that makes sense. I think I must have tried doing a special event again to try to earn some cash. I'll have a go on the A-Spec as there's a couple of good races that I enjoyed completing and wouldn't mind earning cash doing it.

Am really loving this game so much.
