My God that is one hot looking car.

What are the specs for this one - i know it's going to have the 4.4 V8 TT. Is this the same 4.4 V8 that's in the X5 et al (but with twin turbos bolted on) or a new one?

Well, it's a lot better-looking than the E60 M5....

***edit***

Even with the swirly-stuff applied!

I like the E60 Sport/M5 shape, it's chucnky in all the right places and the headlights/front end give an evil look as if it's looking at you and growling. The F10 just doesn't do this and is more similar to the 7 series than anything else. It's lost the mean front and instead acquired curvy cuteness.

F10 interior is a far nicer place than the E60 though!

Yes because BMW are in the habit of making poor M engines.

But they do have a habit of making poor 4.4L V8 Turbocharged engines.

The unit they shoved into earlier Arnage is known to be a bit of a turkey.

That being said, that looks properly awesome. I really wasn't a fan of the F10 until now!

That looks like a normal F10 M Sport, just with quad pipes :(

Go and have a look at an E39 M5 then, which really does look identical bar mirrors and quad pipes. Thats always what the M5 has been about - a wolf in sheeps clothing. Neither the E34 nor the E39 M5 stood out when parked next to a Sport variant of the same shape. And neither was it supposed to.

It's only the E60 that went a bit bonkers with a different but similar bodykit.

I'm with you on this one.

Actually thinking about it 4.4l V8 with twin turbo... It's actually a downgrade on the old B5. Even Alpina haven't come up with anything better or more economical. I'd take the new iDrive though.

On the M5 yes. I wrote and was referring to the B5 which is 4.4l V8 Supercharged.

Even Alpina have gone for the cheaper twin turbo solution though with the new B5.

New M5 will be a whole heap better on fuel economy than the old one, which emptied it's bladder before you did.
