To any pair who wants a cheap 2 week holiday in Sharm El Sheikh next week!

Arrive home 23:10 Christmas Eve, just in time to get stuck at the Airport for the whole of Christmas day :p

And it's only 4*.

(Yeah snobbish but I wouldn't go to an egyptian hotel under 5*, especially considering you can get good ones for not much.)

Having said that my sisters are out there at the moment and I'm sure they were going snorkelling today...:/

EDIT: Russian and Ukranians. Phew. ;)

You'll get them no matter where you stay, it's part of going to Egypt.

Kept hearing this from everybody on here and in real life. Numbers don't lie. So took all sorts of preparations with me. I didn't get it, nobody on our coach tour did except an old lady, who deserved because she was loud, annoying and American.

Went to Sharm last year on a bargain deal (not as cheap as yours tho)

Stayed in a 4* hotel.

Both of us ended up with the squits.

Would go back, but stay in a 5* hotel.

I go to Egypt a lot - probably 30 times to Sharm in the last 5 years. Loads of people say they get 'food poisoning' and yet they don't follow basic advice about drinking lots of water and over-salting their food. Squits is a very basic sign of dehydration. In a desert. Who'd have guessed it :D

Other way round, squits leads to dehydration. I have never heard of dehydration leading to squits.

looks like they've been eaten :(

:p

I was going to post that then though how bad I'd feel if they actually were those attacked...:o

Yeah. The biggest reason for people getting it is handling the money and then not thoroughly washing your hands before eating/touching anything that goes near your mouth.

Star ratings have NOTHING to do with people getting the trots :D

Star ratings are based on facilities, swimming pool size, room size, number of restaurants, number of rooms, varieties of room and so on.

Stayed in the Hilton in Luxor last year and spent a good half a day on the toilet one day and that was me being careful with the money and where we ate etc... It's part of Egypt lol.
