So is there any way? Am I missing something here? It allows you to play music from your HD, but how the heck do you get it on there?

I want to know this also, I know you can play it from your PC or put music onto a pen drive the only way i know is to burn it from a CD in this day and age thats a joke.

and that is why the 360 is a load of old poo for anything other than games !

i wouldn't go that far. However the lack of access to the internal drive on the 360 is just a joke, and its another reason the 360 comes second with regards to its media capabilities IMO

*edit* Added in IMO for the 'OMG YOU'RE SO WRONG' spaz's

its rather ridiculous and constantly annoys me ! what harm would allowing it to be transfered do ?

i dont want to leave my pc or laptop on just to stream music to the xbox.

Media --> IPOD, plug into 360. Enjoy.

You know I just can't be bothered to thumble around for any kind of that nonsense, not when I have a PS3 sitting three feet away. I like the XBOX don't get me wrong, but once you start adding up the silly things such as NO BLURAY, annual fee's, not being able to play music or movies directly off the HD, it does make you wonder why the buying public are so dumb as to pay the same for a 360 as they do a PS3, when the PS3 does so much more! Well at least the thing doesn't sound like a hoover anymore ! That's one good thing I suppose.

Fair enough. Not a prob for me though. All of my media is on my iPod anyway, so no problem there. Don't watch movies, so no bluray is not a problem.

I agree the PS3 is a better all round device, but the 360 suits my needs perfectly.

And Kinect > Move:p

lol?

Plug in external HD / USB drive and listen to music/watch movies, how hard is that?

Reason I bought 4GB version - havent a big internal drive is totally pointless. Every single person I know with an xbox doesnt use the internal drive for media - and what a surprise, if they do want to watch something, they plug in external HD.

Edit// Actually even my friend who has a PS3 doesnt use the internal drive, he also plugs in USB to watch stuff.

If your PS3 is full of music why do you need the 360 to do it? and yes you can play music from the HD, you rip it from CD as already said but still you rant that you can't, ripping from CD is no different to copying to the PS3 now is it, unless you don't buy original CD's I guess.....

Hmm, may have to try that with NFS then. Only difference being that NFS accesses your tracks from within the game...I'll experiment and find out.

is that because you cant!? Explain to me how its a plus point to not beable to use the internal drive? It's not. So LOL? right back at ya. I don't understand what your friends lack of using the internal drive has to do with anything either? You think it's better to plug in a USB rather than have your entire MP3 library local? Well okay. good for you, I disagree. It's a silly limiting factor that the 360 drive isn't accessible

What if you live in the present and buy\use Mp3s
