Hi, I'm looking forward to buy a new router which meets my needs. I usally use the router to get the connection on multiple devices such as the iphone, macbook. Recently my router died on me so need to get a new one. Can you suggest me a good router. 30-£60 budget btw :)

I also connect to devices like the ps3, and do a lot of gaming on pc and console xD

Thanks!

the router you get depends on your ISP are you on a cable internet connection or is your
connection through the phone line ?

No, TV it's via cable using fiber optic. It's virgins 10mb internet, seems to be going off every now and then with my router.

The one Shadz linked up is what Virgin do / used to (not sure now?) give their customers when upgrading to 20mb / 50mb service, and when flashed with DD-WRT firmware it's a very capable router.

They also go very cheap on that famous auction site.

Uhm, have you read my issue, my internet keeps stopping every now and then, so i have to keep restarting it everytime. Do you know what the problem is? it's only happens when im connected to wireless router.

Yeah I've read it, you're asking for suggestions for a new router and I'm saying the one Shadz linked comes highly recommended.

If you're also asking to diagnose your existing problem then you'll need to list your router details, connected devices, when it happens, what exactly happens etc etc.

The router i have linked you is the router that i have got and it never goes wrong,
If there is every a problem i know its definately the modem i have which is the 50mb modem.

If there is a wireless problem chances are that the router is either really old or you are
overloading the wireless with the amount of devices you have connected to it.

What's much better about it? It has a USB port, but most other features seem the same, only the 615 is less than half the price.

more throughput and data rate.

Its a better router... I've got the DIR-615 signal and speed is crap and have to reboot it every so often, much slower than a belkin F5D8236-4 and thats a bog standard N router. VM gave that DIR-615 to me with my 50MB connection that says it all.
