Who'd want to drive a smegging french made piece of crap is my response to the whole french tanks stuff. Besides didnt even think french had tanks, i mean didnt they surrender in ww2 and didnt fight?

I wana drive english tanks tbh. Hope they make em.

v. 0.6.1.5 - v.0.6.2.4

Main:
- Added new maps: "Ruinberg" and "El Halluf".
- Added new battle mode: the "Tank Company Battle". A company of tanks with sum of tiers from 60 to 90 will get into a company waiting list where it will be randomly assign an opposing company.
- Added voice chat based on the Vivox technology. It works only for platoons in random battle, for companies in tank company battles and for training battle. The feature is still in testing hence is implemented with minimal settings.
- Added achievements: "Reaper", "Invincible", "Survivor", "Raider", "Master Gunner", "Kamikaze",
- Added medals: Kolobanov's medal, Billotte's medal, Fadin's medal, Wittmann's medal, Orlik's medal, Oskin's medal, Halonen's medal, Burda's medal.
- Added full dynamic shadows. The option is located in settings "Enhanced shadows". The shadows are in the testing mode so there is a possibility of artifacts.
- Added new interface for repair and resupply of consumables - "Service": added possibility to automatically replenish consumables and to repair the tank after coming out of the battle, possibility to quickly replenish consumables, ability to change the sequence of shells.
- Added controls settings in the game settings.

Gameplay:
- The doubled experience for the first battle (in a day) on each tank now is given not for the first battle, but for the first victory on the tank..
- Training battle does not count as the first battle anymore for the purposes of the doubled experience.
- The chance of hitting an inner module (except gun) increased from 33% to 50%.
- Removed possibility when any HE that explodes near a tank to damage internal modules, except crew members.
- The damage to inner modules from an HE that exploded on the tank armor is reduced by 50%, exception - crew members.
- Change experience transfer from a group of tanks. The experience from all tanks is collected so all tanks left with zero experience and then it is transferred. The remaining under 25 experience is placed on the last tank on the list.
- "Scout" is now awarded only if the team won.
- "Sniper" is now awarded if during the battle there was no friendly damage.
- The top tanks in the battle roster are now balanced not by the level but by the match-making "value", which considers type of the tank.
- The coefficient of heavy tanks for the match-making calculations is increased from 1.3 to 1.45.
- Reworked tank distribution tiers in battles.
- Fixed ability of lifting fallen trees with tank.
- Removed possibility of driving beyond the edge of the map during lag spikes.
- Fixed tank spawns considering type of the tank (SPG in Malinovka, etc.).

System:
- Fixed FPS drops during rendering of track prints.
- Fixed lags when destroying objects.
- Improved auto-configuration of graphic settings.
- Experimental feature. Limited speed of rendering in the loading screen, this should improve loading time for slow computers.
- Added some optimizations which suppose to end single sharp falls and dips in FPS.

Content:
- Multiple fixes of tanks' models and textures.
- Set a normal speed of track rotation on all tanks.
- Reworked and added destruction of some objects.
- Fixed some spots on the maps where tanks would get stuck or couldn't pass.
- Modified base flagpoles and flag animation.
- Added removal of rendering for some small objects at long distances.
- Reworked shot sounds of some guns.

Interface:
- Changed system notifications in the hangar.
- Fixed changing music volume level which worked only for battles.
- Multiple small interface changes.
- Added hints-tooltips on interface elements in hangar.
- Fixed purchasing a tank with a slot in hangar without warning.
- Fixed bug with filter "Location" in barracks switches by itself.
- Fixed invite notification, if the player is in the battle at that moment.
- Added display of User Agreement after the client launch.
- Added turning on/off of "after death" post-effect in settings.
- Removed ability to lower camera beneath the water level.
- Now after purchasing premium, hangar immediately updates to premium.
- Fixed UI bug when researching several vehicles and/or modules in a row using free experience

There's more changes being added to that list later, the only one Overlord has posted that will be so far is +440HP on the Maus. I'm happy with that, all the more credits to farm when killing them :P

Ooh, that sounds like a much needed change. I've heard loads about how it compares unfavourably with the IS-7, should let it survive a couple more shots as well.
 
Im sick of my IS7 already, only just got it after the long grind from the is4 - and im expected to rush every game wtf is that about, also the damned 7 doesnt take hits like the 4 did :( im not a happy bunny right now.
 
And on top of that the IS-4 is getting an armour buff :3

I've only just maanaged to get into my IS and it seems to be a pretty awesome upgrade over the KV-3. More HP especially, and I think the armour is doing better.
 
Yea as an IS4 driver, that thing doesnt need a buff at all, they sealed the fate of the game doing the buff as everyone will be rolling in them after the wipe - What i dont get is why people expect an is7 to rush but an is4 they dont.
 
I won't, i'll still be driving IS-7. I play with a mate who plays his JgdTiger when i'm on that one, people ignore him and go for me every time when they see us meaning that either we both tear them a new one or i die in the process but he survives to finish them off.

We had a match this morning where we started out in the wrong part of the map and our side were getting wiped. We moved to the opposite side and waited for them, by that time there were the two of us left Vs 8 of them... we got 7 before we died. People are stupid sometimes in that game as they think IS-7!!!!!XP!!Credits!!!! and ignore the JgdTiger even when they can see his side who's doing more damage to them than i could lol.
 
Is there chat group ingame for OcUK? I joined one called "ocuk" earlier but it's been empty so far.

If there's not then it might be worthwhile setting one up to get ready for clans being introduced.
 
French tanks? Let me guess, you join a game, it takes you to completely the wrong part of the map, then as soon as the enemy is spotted it forces you to surrender. Lets just say I most likely wont be going through the French tanks.
 
I love my little fake french german tier 2 premium tank. Its like a tiny version of a heavy tank. Only has 160or so HP but thanks to its armour it has managed to get the steelwall (or whatever the absorb/take 1100+ worth of dmg medal is) 2 or 3 times.

I imagine that all low tiers french tanks will be like it, decent armour but very slow and have an average gun, no idea what they are whipping up for the upper tiers though from a few pictures I saw they look interesting at the least.

And from the patch notes:

" - Removed possibility when any HE that explodes near a tank to damage internal modules, except crew members."

That will make mediums a bit more fun to play, especially the panther. It tends to get arty focused fired as soon as it gets tracked so near misses wont knock out 3/4 of the modules any more.

The buff to the Mk3 6pounder should be a bit of a needed boost to my M7 as well.

Difference between softwipe and a hardwipe?

Soft wipe converts all exp you've spent on tanks into free exp, refunds all credits spent on tanks/equipment currently in your garage and wipes your crew, though they gave a ton of gold to make up for this.

The hard wipe deletes everything, and will happen at the end of beta.

When is the game going to be released? Is it a free game or pay monthly?

It's my first MMO and I really like it, needs a bit more substance to it though... larger maps and battles would be nice or a campaign where you can play for your chosen tank country online... like WWII but online :p
 
its going to be a micro-transaction type of game. So free to play but to get some of the nicer (but perhaps not game changing) stuff you have to pay. For example, 150 free gold a day is only during beta, you won't get free gold in the live game, you will either have to earn it or pay for it.

Its a bit of a stretch to call World of Tanks an MMO (Though that doesn't stop the devs), but as mentioned, its going to be free to play, but gold will be bought using real money, not sure on the conversion rate, though the Russian site works out at about £8 for however much gold gets you a month of premium (I forget) so it would work out at about the same monthly cost as any other MMO if you want perminant premium.

As for full release, February apparently. Also, OcUK will hopefully have a clan (Assuming we can find 15 people to join) and will take part in the big clan campaign thing fighting for control of the UK.
