Whats currently the best deal out there for an Iphone? Looking for a 32gig Iphone 4. Contract runs out this month and not sure where to start. cheers

the best deal might be to drop your contract to sim only and buy a handset off ebay

After 2-3 weeks of reading & looking around this is what I decided as the contracts are to long & to expensive.
Sim only deals are sweet at the mo with loads of extras given for topping up.
I got a Desire though not an iphone but still 25 quid a month for 2 years is outrageous, Cash deals for the win.

Which was what i was going to say...best is to buy one sim free ie unlocked then just put a PAYG or a sim only card in it.

Its what i have done with my iphone4 32gb....bought the phone sim free and am using my tmobile £10 a month contract on it.

Its a nightmare, I thought it would be easy to get a nice iphone deal but getting stitched up left, right and centre with some of the !deals out there. I am with Three and they're like offering me a standard £30/£35 deal for a Ip4 over 24 months. +up front fee. utter joke.

I may just go with Tescos and use their 12month £20 tariff to get myself on the ladder. And spread the up front/monthly spend on a couple interest free credit cards for 24months... effectively like.. £27.88 pm over 24months... its still a rip off tho!

Bar hum bug!

How much did you buy it for and how long ago?

You can get some good money back via Quidco for Vodafone contracts so have a look at that.

The Tesco one is also good, just because I don't like to be tied into long contract lengths.

Tesco and Three are cheapest for a straight contract.

Buying sim free and having a sim only deal works out at roughly the same price anyway.

Its always been that much on any iphone and it wont change any time soon.

EDIT: Seems three prices have gone up. I only paid £99 for the 32GB on a £30/month. (500 mins, 5K texts, 1GB internet)

Yeah, I did this. Back in August when you couldn't get one from anywhere, even the networks, I paid £540 from eBay. Quite a lot of money, but managed to sell my Nexus One for over £300, so didn't work out too bad.
