Hi Guys,

Just got an e-mail from EVGA, it appears during the month of December 2010 if you forgot to register your EVGA product during the 30 day allowance for the 3 year or 10 year extended warranty you can apply for their "Warranty Recovery". You obviously must be the original owner with proof of purchase (which most retailers will provide if you've lost yours).

I'm sure there are a few of you out there. There is also a Donation Replacement Program which they describe as "Do you have a product which is now out of warranty because you did not qualify for the extended warranty? EVGA gives you the chance to obtain a replacement for a limited time!"

Info and instructions for both here: http://eu.evga.com/articles/00598/

Thought anyone it applies to might want a quick heads up...

Mark

That's very nice of EVGA, top company.

This donation thing could be useful, send in a GTX260 and you may get a new 460 in exchange.

I remember back when many EVGA products had a lifetime warranty... no idea what happened about that, but I suppose one can only gain fan support for so long.

mmm i wonder would they take motherboards also?? donate my 780i for the new evga 2011 when it comes out...........lol

I think its all EVGA products.

Also if you bought a product that did not qualify for the warrenty in 2008 and is broken, you can send it in for a replacement.

that is good all i need to do is sent my motherboard back and just found my hands and wait until the new 2011 comes into play to claim a replacement since i heard they have stopped making them... all i need to do is sell my cpu and memory.......:D

Cool, I didnt register my GTX 460 a month ago because I couldnt install it, but yeah now I realise you didnt need to have it installed, but its all good now(even though I probably wont need the warranty).

Don't understand why they have this stupid policy in place of needing to register in 30 days. Surely if you have your proof of purchase thats enough?

I think they still do, just in the USA not Europe. Still 10 years for most products is long enough I think...

Proof of purchase is fine for 2 years, but after that what they are offering is above and beyond most other manufacturers. As far as I'm aware all those that offer extended warranties for graphics cards require registeration (XFX, Zotac etc).
