hi there im considering a new case but i want one with a lot of places to put all of my wonderfully quiet fans (no sarcasm involved)

anybody no of such a case  and if so can i have a link please, oh and £100 is a maximum budget because i am hoping to purchase a 5870 soon :P

thanks a bunch

powelly2010 :D

hmm looks all right but im not to keen on the whole design of it i was looking at the sliver stone tj07, or is that more of a water cooling case?

What exactly is your budget? Coolermaster cases are pretty good, the HAF X and the cm 690 are both good options. NZXT Phantom, Antec 1200, Antec Dark Fleet DF85, Antec LanBoy Air. These are all sold on OcUK, there are other of course, but not much else on OcUK (to my memory)

my budget is 100 but i would like around 90, the cm 690's look really solid at the moment so i think i might end up with one of them but as for the nzxt phantom not a chance, not a chance. i think it's really between the cm 690, antec 902 and one of the haf series i just need help with the pros and cons of them to help me decide the lucky winner :P

hmmmmm i would but that case is a little bit ugly? don't you think my current case looks a bit better than that just doesn't have the room for fans it has only 2 mounts! so i have cut a hole in the top of the case :P not a good result so i am looking for a good looking case with a lot of room for fans and the 5870 :) i will upload a screenie for you

Just decide on a budget and get the best case in that budget.

Cases are probably the longest component we keep after power supplies so get a good one.

The most fans doesn't mean better.

For £70-£90 I would have these on my shortlist

Lancool K62
cooler master advanced dominator II
Fractal design R3

as you can see there is only 2 actual places i can put the fans on my current case so i cut a big square on the top and wacked on an exhaust fan and i dont get the best airflow from the fan at the rear because a rad is in the way i need a case where i can avoid this issue.

hmm i suppose i just want good airflow because my room get quite hot and i like to keep my components cool

picture is showing for me, oh well i think when it comes to it im gonna take the plunge and get a cm 690 advanced dominator 2 it definitely seems like the one for me, thanks for your help

What looks ugly is a mater of personal taste. I think the 902 looks ugly but that's just my opinion. Of the cases suggested here so far I really like the Fractal R3 but then again its not the ideal case if you're the type of users who is constantly putting in and taking out CD/DVD's.

EDIT You posted before me. TBH given your needs etc, you can't go wrong really with that 690. Enjoy:)

oh btw do they do window versions of the cm 690 II or not and is it worth getting the foam silencing kit for £27 seems quite cheap?

EDIT also what the difference between the lite and advanced versions?

The CM 690II Adv is a cracking case, I own one myself. I dislike the tooless HDD bays though, I keep breaking 'em lol. Lots of room, lots of mesh, lots of fans, it's awesome.
