Ok, I was playing COD then my Pc restarted it self, it will get to the loading screen and it will hang there and nothing will happen!. I've booted up in safe mode that didn't work it will hang there!, I've tryed to boot with the windows disk in to repair a/mite be damage file and that don't work it will hang there :s this is very strange, I've also taking my OC back down to stock and still no joy. can any one help?
My spec is in my sig my power supply is a true power 650w module.

You didn't mention your graphic card in your sign :p

Anyway, have you overclocked your graphic card?

Also, if you haven't done so already, try to download and use a different graphic card driver?

Hello,
My graphics card is ati hd 5850 1gb, nope it's not overclocked never done it!, I have the leastest drivers!.
I've managed to get back into windows now, I loaded up cod again played for 10mim and the same thing happen again but this time it would hang at the start of the front page with my mobo info.

latest driver dont always mean best, go back to an older version, say catalyst 10.5 or 10.4

play game again, see if crash happens again :)

Ok will do but before I do that should I run furmark to see if my graphics card is overheating?

Can you even get into windows to do that?

What hard drive do you have windows installed on? I notice you have two hard drives in your signature but was not sure if these are being used for windows or not? Any kind of raid setup if so?

If I leave my computer turned off for about 10 min I can get back into windows. My overclock is stable, I had prime95 running for 6hrs and that was fine temps of 65'c loaded and 30'c idle.
One of my hdd has windows installed and the other one just has games and other bits installed on it

Ok, loaded into windows and it was sooo laggy, it took 10min to load up HWmonitor! So i was thinking it could be the ram! So I've restarted my Pc loaded up bios to change the boot up for the memtest 86 but wen I was in the bios I notice it was not showing my hdd what has OS installed! So could it be my hdd what has fooked up?. I'm still running memtest86 to make sure that's ok and it is so far.

Ram would not cause that, sounds like the HDD is on its way out to me...

Ok, memtest was fine. The bios is showing my hdd again!. I've taken my hdd out and replaced it back in and pushed all the cables back in and at the mo it seems to working fine, strange.

UPDATE

Ok after pushing all the cables back in everything seem to be ok now!, i've just been told by my wife that my little boy knock into yes2day! so i think that could have been the problem then! but is there any harddrive tools to check the health of my drive?.
thank you
