He is only five and a half but is quite clever and is adamant he wants an RC Plane.

Nothing fancy I reckon I could stretch to £40.00 max. Of course, it also needs to be quite sturdy.

Is there anything out there that is suitable?

Cheers. :)

With it being for a small kid, you want something EDF, and foam.

EDF, because the blades of the prop are inside the body and away from little fingers, and foam as they bounce, and are pretty resiliant to bad treatment/rough landings (crashes).

You local model shop will be able to help you find the right kinda thing. :)

surly you only want a two channel cheap thing though like a xtwin. Not a full blown model and for £40

Bear in mind my dad and I managed to damage one of those helicopters shown above in about 20 minutes of getting it. A 5 year old probably has no chance...

If there is one local your best bet is a RC plane club as they usualy have a trainer with duel controls so a member can show him how to fly without costly crashes.

That way you will not end up with a plane he dosnt use in 3 weeks :D
