The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Some nice features from incursion :D

"The EVE client is now resizable in Windowed mode, allowing the players to stretch their client over several monitors. Now EVE Online is much more beautiful in ultra-widescreen resolutions. This feature is not available in the Mac Client.

A new option, “Horizontal offset” has been added to the settings menu. It allows the player to have all menus on one monitor and focus on his ship in another monitor."

I haven't done lvl 4's in ages! I hate missiles with a passion :) How does this look?
I think I might be overtanked, I've had a lot of experience doing low sec exploration sites in my ishtar, so I know how to look after my drones.

I don't believe in perma tanking my battleships, my ishtar on the other hand :) The lack of cap mods frees me to fit a lot of other useful mods. It will be mainly for serpentis/guristas.
Also the Ammo is there just to match the range of my sentries.

Looks fine to me so long as you manage aggro :)
Be prepared for a list of people telling you not to use cap boosters for missions. xD
Personally I ran an Abaddon with 2x cap boosters for missions a while back before I could fly a Legion or a Nightmare for missioning.

Anyone had a good play with the new multi monitor support?

Basically, you can now drag the window across multiple monitors, hit 'fixed window' and it behaves like a full screen window, just across all your screens. Only thing is, because you have to set the size with the window I'm finding it impossible to not get some borders on the right hand side of my right monitor, and all along the bottom. Anyone found a way around it?

/me starts the list

Cap charges are evil, I try and avoid them even in PvP if possible! Why not ditch the drones mods from the mids and use cap rechargers? My domi is cap stable with dual reppers (no guns)

"Fixed Window" is a good idea in theory, but :CCP:

:(

That'd make the sentries less awesome :p

Who needs cap stability for missions anyway, when I occasionally run them I am using a Nightmare that has a cap lasting about 100 seconds with the booster on. xD

When you say you're doing level 4's I take it that's in hisec?

I mission in a Navy Domi and looking at your fit I think:
- You are overtanked for level 4's.
- Get some mag stabs on to make use of your guns, they'll make a big difference when popping battleships despite what people say about hybrids.
- Ditch the afterburner cause there's no real need for it on a Domi. It's still gonna be slow with one and it's using a valuable mid slot.
- You don't need a drone navigation computer because you'll only use the light/medium drones for enemies that are up close and TBH I've heard it makes it harder for them to hit due to the increased transversal speed.
- I'd personally ditch the cap booster as there's no real need for it.
- Get rid of the tractor and salvager cause loot was nerfed some time ago and the BS wrecks will likely be out of range of your tractor. Use the slots for more guns.

TBH I think you should be looking at something like this on a non-navy Domi:
[Dominix, LV4 - Guristas]
Large Armor Repairer II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Cap Recharger II

Omnidirectional Tracking Link I

350mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L

350mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
350mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
350mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
Drone Link Augmentor I

Large Sentry Damage Augmentor I
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I

Hobgoblin II x5
Garde II x5
Warden II x5

If you want to keep the cap booster you could drop the cap rigs for armor rigs if you still feel the tank is a bit lighter than you'd like.

Hope this helps. :)
