Yes, those are my thoughts too. In general use the LED/SAMOLED are only really better for watching videos on due to the colours, blacks also look better as they are black, which is nice. Reading text, general viewing, etc are pretty much better on SLCD.
 
I should imagine that an e-reader that has a dark background with light letters (rather than black letters on white background which seems to be the default on most of them) would look really good on AMOLED and be more restful on the eyes than LCDs, where you'd have the backlight glaring at you all the time and bleeding out into unilluminated pixels. I've yet to find an e-reader that lets you set it that way though.
 
How do reset my contact list? I have removed everything facebook related and there's still 1000+ facebook contacts in there.
This is driving me insane.

So I'm on my third charge now with the phone, and I'm happy to report that the battery life is fine as far as I'm concerned. 26 hour up time, 4 hour awake time, 2hr 27min screen time, half hour of voice calls, 30-40% battery left. I haven't done anything fancy to the settings:

Twitter off (don't have account), facebook syncs every 4 hours, gmail is on its default (push I think?), my work email syncs every 15 minutes at peak time (9am-7pm) and every 2 hours off-peak.

Love the phone, superb for web browsing, screen is crystal clear and it doesn't look remotely washed out to my eyes :)
 
Yes the counters were a bit broken, just ran it again though and got over 2000 :D

On another note, does anyone know how this backup system works? Didn't know this was a feature... Does it backup to SD?

Phone arrived yesterday morning, liking it so far. Nice performance jump up from my G1 to the DHD, though the switch from 1.6 to 2.2 isn't as huge as I thought it would be, still good though. Beginning to get used to typing on an on screen keyboard as always used the physical one on the G1, liking the lack of bulk though without one.

Just need to get it all customised the way I like it, didn't do much in terms of widgets and other desktop stuff with my G1 but trying to see what I can do with 2.2 :)
 
on my accounts i have facebook and facebook for htc sense. what is the difference? is one better than the other? i don't really understand why im syncing 2 things.


edit: there's also 2 for twitter!
