NBA Season 2010/11

Ooo look another NBA fan! :D

I'm a Rockets man myself. Struggling though. Keep leading at the half and coming out for the 3rd & 4th with no energy :(

Having said which we beat the Lakers the other day :D

As for the Heat - I'm not suprised really. They are still finding their feet and of course they are also rather short handed at PG/C :( Mike Miller & Udonis Haslem being out isn't helping either :(

Loving the fact that the heat aren't doing very well. LeBron should have just stayed put tbh. I think their performance has got a lot to do with conflicting all stars. The three of them just haven't glued together like everyone expected.

On another note I'm a Spurs fan so I'm about as happy as I can be atm! :D Especially considering the start of the season is normally the Spurs weak point.

I'm a Lakers fan :(
What an abysmal run we're having. Though surely we must beat the Queens tonight :D!

The Heat have no depth. Three stars, injuries to Haslem and Miller, it's little surprise they're not doing as well as some people thought. But they're 2/2 now, and will surely make the playoffs. But if they go out early or get swept, maybe Lebron will feel he should have just stayed put ;)

Ginobli is an awesome player. He gets talked about a lot, but he's still "underrated" imo. A commentator said he should be in the short-list when discussing the best 'B' star (the group behind Kobe, Lebron, Durant etc.), and I couldn't agree more.

Though the Clippers upset the Spurs a few days ago. Blake Griffin is a beast. I love watching that guy - he's a human highlight reel! Close game they're having with the Nuggets right now. I'm off to watch!

Yea Blake Griffin is gonna be rookie of the year I reckon! Considering everyone was banging on about John Wall all of pre-season Blake has really stepped up!

I hope this guy enters the slam dunk contest and it becomes decent again, unlike the last few years. IMO, Griffin and Shannon Brown should be the best contestants in theory.

I still rate Howards dunking ability. Mainly because he can get SO vertical whilst also being MASSIVE. Although smaller people are better for super impressive stuff like 540 dunks because they get so much hang time!

Wow. Now *that's* a dunker! Shame he can't enter the Slam Dunk Contest.

Agreed about Howard. Remember when he dunked on a 12ft rim? He cleared that easily, he could have gone higher. He has a mean vertical.

The Slam Dunk contest has been rubbish for a while - no creativity. Putting people like Shannon Brown and Blake Griffin will only serve to worsen it imo.

Both have silly vertical leaps (as does Howard) but it's also their ability to pull this off on the break around/through 2 - 3 defenders (or in some cases over :p) that makes them exciting.

Take away the opponents they have to get past and the dunk just loses it's interest for me :(

The Heat had a another home win yesterday. I'm thinking I should take back some of my criticism. They've won 4 in a row and 9/13 at home.

They're only going to pick up pace as the season goes on because of the raw talent they've got (Even on the bench). It's clear though that you can't just buy up the best players in the NBA, stick them on the court and instantly get results.

The one thing that mainly concerns me about them though is the fact that James, Bosh and Wade pretty much take up the entire salary cap themselves, leaving everyone else on the team on near minimum wage. Can't be helpful in the locker room.

Melo has finally gone to the Knicks in a massive trade!

Anthony, guards Chauncey Billups and Anthony Carter, center Shelden Williams and forward Renaldo Balkman will go to New York, in exchange for guard Raymond Felton, forwards Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler, center Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' first-round pick in 2014 and second-round picks in 2012 and 2013 originally acquired from Golden State, along with $3 million in cash.

In a separate deal, the Knicks will send unused center Eddy Curry's expiring contract, along with forward Anthony Randolph and another $3 million, to the Minnesota Timberwolves for small forward Corey Brewer.

Yea couldn't believe that when I read it this morning! Better for him than the Nets though. New York might get quite far this season now if they can get everyone to work together....
