Hi all
I'm just thinking about how I have my heating set and whether it is the most economical way to run it. We have a wireless thermostat located in the sitting room and this is set to reach certain temperatures at different times of day; so in the morning and evenings it's set to reach 21ºC and at other times it's set to reach 15ºC. The radiator in the sitting room does not have a thermostatic valve, but the normal valve is open as far as it can go.
From there I am using the thermostatic valves in the other rooms (kitchen and 2 bedrooms) to reach the desired temperature for each room individually. The bathroom radiator is just a normal valve and is open to maximum as towels hang on the radiator.
Is there anything I can do different to make this setup more efficient?
Many thanks
Michael.
