Mrs found this on the doorstep today.

Very nice! From what I have seen it does look an awesome lens. I was tempted by a mkI IS at £880 recently, but it was a few years old. I'll be sticking with my Siggy 7-2 for a while yet!

Should've done it, great price :) - Superb lens...I use one at weddings, they are awesomes :)

8 years old though? It's supposed to be in spotless condition but it's too far for me to travel to check. For the money my Sigma isn't too bad, I'm not sure spending twice the money will give me that much more :confused:

8 years old or not, it might've sat in a bag for most of that?

If it's spotless, and produces pin sharp images then why not? :) - I would've bidded him though. They are fantastic lenses :)
