Is it wise to sell MacBook Pro stock parts that you no longer use?

Basically I have spare parts lying about that came with the Macbook pro that I've replaced with newer/faster components.

  • 4GB of Ram (stock)
  • 320GB hard drive (stock)
  • 500GB hard drive (that I used for a week before getting an SSD)

I'm sure there must be £100 worth there that I could use for other things. However, if my macbook pro became faulty for some reason, would I be able to send it in for repair (I have HE 36month warranty) or do I need to original parts?
Would this affect a replacement of the machine if (heaven forbid) down the line the GPU had a fault and the mobo needed replacing (I'm assuming here they would swap my machine for a refurb than pay for labour costs to replace my mobo)?

Thank you guys.

Should be fine, apple replaced the lid on my unibody after it developed cracks in it despite the fact I had changed the hdd and RAM and some of the screws were missing from the bottom (previous owner).

Will keep an eye out for these.

Ha, well it's only 2x2GB of stock apple ram (micron?), a 320GB drive of manufacture I can't remember from stock and a 500GB WD blue.
I'll put them up in a couple of weeks, I've left the RAM and 320GB at my parents house when I visited them last month.

Yeah i got a macbook and have been keeping an eye out for some memory, so it may just be what i need.

I'll email you when I put them up. Like I said, I wont have my hands on them for at least another week. ;)
