Alternative to blutack that wont leave a mark / pull paint off

So want to hang some xmas lights, but dont want to leave marks or pull the paint off. I have seen some adverts on TV for this tape stuff that does this but cant remember what they are called.

So anyone got any idea what they are and where to get them? Asked in our local tesco extra that sells all sorts and got nothing but blank looks in return

Scotch Magic Tape.

I dont think its the stuff you saw on TV but its great and wont pull the paint off.

If all else fails use masking tape, but take some of the stickyness off by sticking it to your trousers first.

In my experience white tack also leaves grease-like marks.

Rawlplugs. Do not pull the paint off. However, the drill bit might.

+1 for command strips, they were giving out free sample packs at uni cause we're not allowed blutac in halls - one was strong enough to hold a pricelist for shots to our kitchen ceiling for a month before someone took it down
