possible xmas number1 instead of x factor??

The definitive version -

I WAS THERE

he is the only person in the world that could ever stand a chance of even coming close to reproducing that song on any level that is remotely similer!

love it, the pause in the middle is epic suspension on a random scale!!!!

It would be better, as someone mentioned, for it to be someone genuinely just putting out a song at this time of the year, instead of a protest song.

That being said, I think Matt Cardle is pretty good so I'm hardly going to go mental should he win and get it.

Sales are dropping all the time and the christmas number one must be 60% odd worth of christmas gifts that are never used or listened to.

Didn't i read somewhere a few months ago that download sales of the xfactor winner this year won't count to it chart position?

I thought it was the download sales of any song won't count towards the number one single.

Has it be retail.

I presume that is to stop what happened last year...
In a way, I'd assume it was to make sure a current single released as a single made it rather than old album tracks being elligible. All the decently supported campaigns do seem to be recording new versions of their particular choices though.

Number 1 is a bit of a tall order but Talk To Angels are an up and coming band who have covered A Fairytale Of New York. All download proceeds go to St George's Crypt which is a charity for the homeless in Leeds. You can download the track for a minimum donation of 50p here:

Please consider making a donation. :)

How about we get one of these songs to Number One? -
Matt Cardle could tell Simon Cowell to **** *** then.

or Slayer - Angel Of Death

But last year RATM got to number 1 on downloads only

Exactly. So this year they are taking out downloads completely from the charts and leaving it just to retail purchases.

If a similar thing happens this year, then more likely than not people won't go out to buy the "joke" single to try and beat the X-Factor one. People only done it last year because it was convenient to download it multiple times. Heck I did, but I won't be doing anything this year if it means going to a shop and buying it.
