well its that time of year again, time for a new COURTESY car :)

Civics in for a service so got one of these for the day

Driving wise it feels much quicker than the 1.5 and weight would suggest - the IMA gives it a real shove when accelerating (and in sport mode) so it almost feels like its got the torque of an oil burner, yet it has that lovely jap 4 pot growl. It may not be overly quick on paper but it damn well feels nippy.

The handling is where it really shines - for a hatch it feels incredibly planted without being too harsh on the ride. Turn in is sharp and precise and the gear change is just damn lovely

Wait can you just clarify - you are paying £865 a month for a low spec used Honda hybrid?!

What was the Civic worth, this is potentially what, a £24-25k deal?!?!?

Sounds biblically expensive to run a poverty spec Honda of any kind (bar NSX).

:(

I find it hard to believe that anyone can say "only" £865 a month, even for something a lot more prestigious than that.

A face with a hat on, great.

So effectively it's all a made up lie?

What is the point in this thread, sorry?

Im glad its not just me then.

There are two links

LOLOL STUPID US for not clicking the little links to find out it's all some sort of stupid LOL LOOK thread.

Should have just said 'Look at my courtesy car' and then we could have had a thread about the CRZ, which is quite a unique car, rather than a thread of confusion and rubbish, which we've got now.

Well if its a load of ****** whats the point of posting it.

just a bit of fun, sorry for deviating away from all the deadly serious pipe and slippers, straight down the line car talk... :) and what happened to being nice to everyone in motors ;)

So yer, got it for the day while the civic is serviced and MOT'd and in great OCUK tradition figured i'd make a thread.

most of what i said above is true, its not a bad little car, good fun to drive even if its not the quickest. feels amazingly planted even on the wet & still slightly icey roads.

The interior isn't the best, a little empty and plasticy. The rear seats have absolutely no leg room and the boot is more of a parcel shelf.

Rear visibility is a bit of a joke though:

So the rear parking sensors are very helpful. MPG isn't great when ragged but then its not all that bad if you take it easy. The start stop i didn't have any problem with, apparently its a little slow but seemed to be fine in traffic and pulling away from the lights. Once clutched and in gear its ready to go.

The biggest problem i have with it is the space, its far too small inside, 2x2 is a joke, the rear seats are only really any good to put a coat on, and still you better not have a puffa jacket ;)

so yer, fun, but no thanks day to day - not for me.

Sorry my nice quota has been used up placating my wife this morning :D
