Money back from fraud site?

My sister bought some ugg boots(:o), used a credit card, can she get the money back from the credit card company? The site charged more than advertised and the goods were never delivered.

It varies. Certain cards have added benefits of covering lower than £100 but in general, it has to be a minimum of £100.

This is why I always use a CC even if I have the money or altrernative, pay £100 deposit with you CC and the rest however you want and the CC is liable for the full amount should things go wrong.

And on another note I thought genuine ugg boots were something like £150 to £200 so if they were under £100, alarms bells should have been ringing then.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

To me, alarm bells are ringing at the url, and then you see the site and i laughed. I think my sister just saw the deal and was suckered in.
 
Credit Cards by law have to cover purchesses between 100 and 30k but they might also insure below that, check with your card.
