Ok i have decided to take the slim xbox from my g20 pana plasma to a nice 24'' led/lcd monitor, It will be used for PC also im stuck between 3 monitors i just dont know which one to pick.

Which would be better for xbox 360 between these :

iiyama-prolite-e2472hds
23-lg-e2360v
acer-s243hlbmii-hdmi-black-led

The lg one looks amazing but im not really that bothered about the looks of the screen i just want the best for gaming on with the xbox 360

+1 Best to remove them ASAP before the mods see them, as linking to competitors is against OCUK forum rules.

On the topic of a monitor for use with a 360 - I would suggest going for this one. HDMI and audio pass-through, plus it has a DVI and VGA connection for PC connection. Finally, the panel its pretty decent too.

links removed =/

It was out of the 3 really.

I have been told all 3 are good but dont know which one 2 choose

Told they were good by whom exactly? I would rate the colour reproduction as fairly poor, even for a panel of the given type (TN), for all three of those. The Samsung P2450 is a better choice despite being CCFL-backlit. You should read this thread if you are hung up on chosing an LED-backlit monitor. The best LED-backlit monitors available at the moment for a reasonable price are Samsungs (XL2370 and BX2450) or ViewSonics (VX2250WM or VX2450WM). The Samsungs were initially around £260+ at launch but are now both available for under £200. Unlike the Acer you were looking at the image quality is very pleasing and you are not paying over the odds for the aesthetics alone.

I will take alook at those you have mentioned, but its like plasma and led, lcd tvs there all have pros and cons.

The VX2250WM does not have HDMI does it ? Only vga and dvi

Frankly it would be a waste of money. Take my advice given in the previous post and think about getting a Samsung XL2370 or BX2370. Superior image quality to the Acer, great responsiveness at console framerates and cheaper. I don't like to recommend models that OcUK don't stock but they really are some of the best monitors of their type currently out there, overall. Another recommendation would be the LG W2361V which is availble for a good price from OcUK. There is no need to waste your money on something you don't need for your uses.

I keep checking out that w2361v would that be a good monitor? What would be the pros and cons with that model ?

Thanks for your help been great.

The W2361V represents very good value for money, offering some of the best image quality and build quality you will find for around £160. The 'cons' would all be relative to more expensive monitors and include the colours, contrast and viewing angles being a little worse than some monitors of different panel types in particular. The XL2370 offers a little more vibrancy in its colours and higher brightness as well as slightly better build quality. The XL2370 was launched at £260 and now costs a lot less than that whereas the LG has always been around £150 or more.

Alright, So the xl2370 and the bx model are about £40-£50 more than say a lg w2361v and a P2450H the P2450H and the w2361v there is £10 difference in those screens seems to be on overclockers and other retailers. So my question if i forked out more would i see a difference in picture quality from a high priced tag monitor from the lg and the samsung? If not. Which one should i be picking from the P2450H and the w2361v.
