Fancy Dress - Uniform Theme

Sigh. I have until tomorrow night to think of and find a suitable "Uniform Themed" costume for my mates 21st birthday party in manchester :P

Any ideas lol? Quick and easy and cheap? I've never done fancy dress and usually go in my own clothes if theres a party - and notice a lot of other people do, too.

Need to go in one this time though lol.

Sorry I fail to see whats so funny?

I'm asking for peoples ideas to put some sort of uniform-esque outfit together, but without the need to spend like 50 quid at a costume store.
 
Usual uniform thing is army, policeman, fireman, sailor etc. I'd go for party boy if you can always raises a smile. Take small stereo with you with the music for added laughs.
 
Seems so hard to put a costume together that's actually practical when ur drunk and want to dance :/ If I could find a camo t shirt, I could stick it with some combat trousers. Oh wait... to make that look reasonably like a uniform i'd have to wear boots - which aren't allowed in clubs :<
