My HTC Desire has started the dreaded rebooting when browsing the net, using sat nav etc .
Anyway the only thing Vodafone can do for me is send out an envelope so I can send off my phone for repair
Question is, has anyone any idea how long the turnaround is ?
The Vodafone customer service rep I spoke to was very vague.

Thanks.

So its now been nearly two weeks, and my desire is still here
First Vodafone send a courier to pick up the phone (he goes to the wrong address).
Second they sent out a return pack so I can post my phone to them. (pack never showed up)
Third I was told to take the phone to my nearest Vodafone shop (great it was those muppets where I got it from).
So off to the shop on Monday fighting through the Xmas crowds, so I can stand in the shop while being ignorned, watching most of the staff filing their nails .
So to sum up how long does it take Vodafone to repair a faulty phone, two weeks and counting.
Will my phone go missing ? come back scratched ? They have no record of it etc etc ? probably.

I'd go direct to the manufacturer. You'll get a better service and a quicker turnaround.

Just called HTC, very very helpful, picking the phone up on Monday, should get it back within 10 working days. Job done.
Thanks guys.
Will I be taking out another contract with Vodafone when this one expires ?
NOPE.

If it's rebooting when using browser specifically, it's an OS issue most likely.

Would require updating the firmware manually maybe?

Hi, when I check for updates it says that the phone is up to date.
Its also started rebooting when using sat nav ie having the gps turned on.
The bottom right hand side of the phone gets hot.

Well, got my phone back today, what can I say but what a service.
HTC were very good, informative and helpful.
Fantastic customer service in my opinion.
Oh and happy Christmas to everyone :p
