Mince Pies... 2010

Mr Kipling... I am disappoint. Maybe it was just the batch I got, but my god they're awful. Crumbly soggy pastry and flavourless innards. Do not want.

So far I've tried Greggs', Tesco's and Mr Kipling's. Greggs are in the lead by far in my opinion.

Maybe we can have a poll?

Local Pie shop here does them, bloody good and are as good as home made and 50 times better than mass produced ones.

Mr Kipling ones are nasty, really lardy taste not buttery.

Tesco or M&S ones are good but as with all pies much better heated in the oven.

Sainsbury's Taste The Difference ones are quite nice (have also been on "2 for £3" as well) om nom!

Just ate a Tesco one, actually really good. Good pastry, perfect amount of filling and not overspiced. Would buy again.

take the lid off, put some stilton on top, place lid back on, warm up then eat.
changed the way i feel about mince pies now!

Mr Kipling in general are pretty horrid. For mince pies you have to go home made.

custom pc did a taste test and the M&S buttery ones came out on top for the second year on the trot.
