What's the best free avi to dvd burning software?

I had an app a while ago that did it and was recommended as an essential burning software along with imgburn but I deleted it and can't remember the name of it.

You could also try Convertx to DVD will convert and burn just about any format and is also quicker than most other burning programs.

cheers

how fast? i get almost 300fps conversion speed on dvdflick but it only uses 2/6cores unless they made it more optimised in a newer build

Convertxtodvd costs £35
You can run it for free but it'll leave text in the middle of the entire encode telling you to buy it

It will burn /mkvs that dvdflick can't cope with
dvdflick hasn't been updated in a very long time, but when it works its great

Just tried dvd flick for the first time and I found it really slow. Source file was a 3gig mkv (hd) and in total it took about an hour and a quarter? Is this about right?

I assume a smalled avi would be faster though? Running an overclocked amd 965 and dvd flick aint taxing it at all.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not complaining as its free. Just wondering if that normal or I've missed a setting or something?

under project settings you can set the encoder to above normal, this will speed it up.
