How to disable video ads - YouTube/Blip.Tv/Daily Motion etc.

Seen no end of people winging on this forum about video adverts so decided to make a quick thread before I go out.

It's called AdBlock Plus, free to use and install, so far only works on FireFox though.

Download

Will block all adverts on the majority (if not every single one) of streaming video websites so there's no need to be watching a 30 second advert for a minute long video.

Set your filter subscription (I use EasyList) and that's it. Doesn't hogg any extra resources and doesn't slow browsing speed.

Youtube has got smart to adblock. I went to watch a video earlier and got a message to disable adblock and refresh.

I'm using Easylist USA and haven't had an ad or a Youtube-specific error asking me to disable Adblock. I've had a few sites requesting me to disable my Firefox's pop-up blocker though.

I used to have this installed around 2 years ago but then a year ago I got a message after an update that development for Adblock Plus was going to be discontinued by the creators with immediate affect and no further program updates were ever going to take place? (or am I totally wrong and thinking of another Firefox add-on with a simular name?)
