Last month I ordered an Antec TP-650W PSU from a competitor. They were only asking £58 inc delivery, and their website showed the item in stock.

When nothing arrived after a week I sent them an email.
They said "We didn't really have stock. We should have let you know." But they didn't. "More stock due in next week!"

A week later I contacted them again.
"Supplier let us down. Sorry, try again next week!"

Third week - "Yeah, we didn't get any this week either. Next week for sure!"

Fourth week - they've stopped answering my emails. I phoned them, they promised to phone me back the next day with a confirmed delivery date. Never got that phone call. They still have my money.

Captain Hindsight popped in today to tell me I should have ordered from OcUK when they had that promotion on. We talked about how it sucks to find a "bargain" which turns out to be too good to be true, and how you should probably stick to the retailers you trust in future.

Do I get a "cool story, bro!" for this?

I found that out the hard way before, so I always find something small to order from a company before I make a larger order. I brought a memory stick from here before spending anything more. It's a pain when companies do this.

Keep hounding them. Send them a nasty letter and email asking for money back.

Then call them names.

Yeah, I can get a refund. But then it's £70 if I want to get it anywhere else. Tbh, I don't really want it for that price. I only buy things when I feel I'm getting a good deal.

waiting 4 weeks... good deal?

Exactly - you're out of pocket £58 for 4 weeks with no product, I'd get a refund if I were you.
Don't agree with giving my money away to companies with incompetent service. For the sake of a few more pounds you could have peace of mind, and your item on your doorstep next working day, minus the stress.

The interest on that £58 over 4 weeks is not huge. It's still a lower price than anywhere else is asking. There is still a (small) chance of the order being fulfilled.

My current PSU (500W Seasonic) is holding up better than I thought. Although running slightly hot, the system is totally stable. I had suspected 500W wouldn't be man enough for a GTX460, but it turns out I'm wrong.

I have, however, since sold my Seasonic for £30, and the buyer is waiting for me to replace it before I deliver it to him.

Unless they are complete cowboys, they should give you a refund and then let you know when they do get stock. Goodwill and patience have limits and I'm the guy who doesn't like to make a fuss (so long as the other party are up front and keep me up to date).
