I've heard so many mixed reviews on gaming keyboards this last year, I'm scared to risk wasting money on any. I'm looking for a decent, strong keyboard like Saitek, with a bright blue back-lighting, no need for silly gaming buttons everywhere, no lcd display and It needs to be under £100.

So far the only keyboard I like is the "Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Elite Mechanical Gaming Keyboard" but the price is ridiculous and there always seems to be bad reviews with razer keyboards !

Any Ideas guys ?

Cant help you too much, but this months CustomPC mag has a Gaming Keyboard roundup.

Top spot -Cyborg V5 for £35

Second - Logitech G110 for £60

Third place - Logitech G510 for £86

Damn, that Cyborg V5 is almost perfect ! I'm tempted to spend a couple of extra quid on red lighting for my case, would still be saving a lot compared to buying the razer one :)

Bottom line is, Custom PC magazine doesn't know **** about keyboards. And nor do the majority of people on these forums either. As I keep saying. The folks over at geekhack had a good laugh at that Custom PC article.

At least provide a link to Geekhack forums, or link to a keyboard recommendation instead of just dissin a website/magazine article without proof.

I used to have a Geekhack link in my sig. But the mods removed it. It's not like you can't google it.

Why should we search for it? your the one mentioning it.

You would do a lot better saying I recommend this such and such keyboard/provide link, than just saying "yo CustomPc dont know jack fool one!!! word!!!"

We are just talking about keyboards lol. In all fairness, Custom PC make some go points, not bias at all:

Bottom line, I find keyboards are mostly about personal preference.

To be fair, a massive percentage of reviews to do with input devices/monitors and other pieces of equipment that you can't directly compare or benchmark are ultimately to do with personal preference.

Saying a majority of people on this forum don't have a clue, when you in turn give no helpful comments or information to the OP is just priceless.

OP just remember most places will give you have a 14day money back guarantee on most things, if you can't go to somewhere on the highstreet, a mates or a show and get hands on with a product before you buy, then try it at home and send it back if you don't like.

Can we please have more of a mature discussion please. Less of the swearing, less of the insults, and keep the discussion in a more friendly manner. :)

Back on topic sensibly, I have used Logitech, Saitek and Microsoft and they have always been my top choices when it comes to keyboards, however it is mainly down to personal preference too.
