Looks good, but I get the feeling that all his demonstrations are heavily "staged" so it looks like it's working really well.

I was wondering that as well. The surfaces used are lots of different angles. The programming would have to be incredibly good to take that into account. The detection by the camera also seemed to be very good.
 
One on a tangent, how is the XBox Kinect different from a Wii?

Nice video.

Wii connects by IR signals, while Kincet captures motion points (in 3D space) as it recognizes and can differentiate a persons body to an object while the Wii doesnt, it only detects the movements via the controllers accelerometer
 
How does this work though? He was holding a newspaper and had live moving pictures, surely he'd need some sort of output, like a projector or something?

You'd also need a projector to play pong on the train :confused:
