PS3 exclusive games...

What would you guys recommend as decent PS3 exclusive titles. I ask because i'm contemplating getting a PS3, mainly to play the last couple of Final Fantasy (10 onwards, but possible 7,8,9 again if I get the time) and also Heavy Rain. However this just doesn't seem enough to spend the money for a console on the basis of playing 3/4 games.

I've previously had 4 X360's...have bought them when games have been out that I liked then sold them on afterwards, last time was for Fable 2.

I'm not new to PS3, have played them many times at friends and so on and (in my opinion) feel that the X360 is superior in terms of gameplay, quality of games and graphical quality. However the PS3 comes out on top in terms of having a bluray built in, ease of HDD replacement, free online play and things like that. However those things don't interest me, i'm looking at it purely from a gameplay point if view.

If i were to walk out today to buy one or the other, I know i'd come back with an X360 again...so help turn me to the "dark side" with some recommendations for decent PS3 only titles.

Don't know if it will have a bearing but sports games don't interest me in the slightest but I do like OTT driving games like NFS and Burnout, no real-world lap time racers though.

Just off the top of my head :) I think the PS3 has more exclusives nowadays than the 360 :/

Got to be asked if you think the PS3 is so poor at games why bother getting one then? If it is for specific games and youve bought X360s solely for specific games then its the same exercise no?

Looking at your statement I wouldnt get one in your position - just can tell youd look at it and rather have a X360 instead...

I didn't say it was poor, I just think the X360 has the edge, there's not a lot in it, I guess I shouldn't have used the word vastly in my original post (will ninja edit that now).

In terms of buying the PS3 only for specific games, the reason i'm hesitating whereby I didn't hesitate with the 360 is that due to my history with the 360 I already know I could get a whole bunch of 360 exclusive games and be happy with my purchase. I want to make sure I can do the same thing with a PS3. Also the PS3 is a little more expensive.
 
Just dont buy one as Ive said - if you still questioning the decision of buying a console for 3/4 games you WANT to play, but have never done so when it comes to the X360 then its obvious you have little interest in getting a PS3. Though everyone should experience the Uncharted series

Its not (shock horror) you could sell it on at a similar loss as youve done with the X360s in the past...

Im just one of those cynics tha find it strange that people are interested in particular games but find the choice of the console its on as a barrier to enjoy them...

If you want to know what exclusives the PS3 has there are millions of threads here - try searching for 'PS3 exclusive' ;) - its really not that hard - you did it in the title :p

I can see where you're coming from and if I step aside and look at my own thread as though someone else has written it, it does seem a bit silly.

I've got a bad track record with playstation in general though. I had a PS1 and always found there were loads of games available by comparison to the other popular consoles at the time but the quality wasn't there. I had the same thing when the PS2 came out, loads to choose from but generally poorer games. The XBOX never seemed to have the same range available but the games seemed better, again...same with the X360.

I'm trying to break my own preconceptions of the PS3 by asking what games are about worth playing. I don't just want to know what PS3 only titles are available, I want to know what PS3 exclusive titles are actually worth playing :)

On a side note...I think the new PS3 slim would look nicer alongside my other HE equipment. ;)
 
Luckily for me I own both.

I love GT5 and Killzone and probably MGS when I get around to playing it.

But I also love Halo and Gears of War.

Console exculsives should be illegal.

if you have children, then little big planet would be perfect for them and you to enjoy playing with them. uncharted series is great too and ofcourse MGS4 is superb.
you might want to look out for ridge racer 7 as i dont think that made it on the 360 but its a good racer, not played GT5 yet but i would imagine thats good although its a lot more serious :p
