On the road....
I have just agreed to sell my old motor, the purchaser wishes to pay via bank transfer.

Somebody re-assure me here, I am right in thinking once the transfer is complete, I am safe to release the car & V5 with no chance of the moneys vanishing from my account again?

Daft question to some , perhaps, - I'd just like to be sure. Thanks. :)

I've never known a bank transfer to be reversed;

As long as it's showing as being in your account and being cleared, you'll be fine. Check with your bank though if you are in doubt. they will be able to say definately whether or not this has gone through.

I thought this would be the case, thanks. :)

This is how I paid for my motor.

Though I took the keys and left my drivers license behind as a good will gesture until the money had cleared. I can't remember the logic in this but my family were a right pain. Think it was to stop him selling it again and effectively robbing me.
