Howdy,
As we are nearing that time of year again, I thought I'd get the old man a model car to build... only issue is I have no idea of what to get or what kits are decent. As the old git doesn't mind taking his time over things, the complexity of the kit can be quite high and tbh cost isn't too much of an issue. The dealbreaker will be the detail of the model. As he has been a Mercedes lover since birth, I figured the ideal car would the original SL 300 Gullwing. Therefore, model builders of OcUk, I need recommendations on what to get! I would also like to get him paints, glue, brushes etc to make sure he can complete the kit without needing to spend any money himself.

All suggestions are muchly appreciated guys, cheers :D

Tamiya do more than just remote control cars, there 1:12 scale car models are on the pricey side tho, think £100+

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

Tamiya make remote control cars though, don't day? I think I should have been more clear, a non-remote control car/model is what I'm after. Cheers.

well yes they also do a biblical amount of plastic kits, cars especially are super. Get your self to a model shop like www.modelzone.co.uk and pick up everything you need. As for the car get googleing, ebay is also your friend!
