Have just heard that Tom passed away this morning, he had been battling cancer for a few years.

I didn't like what he did to Arrows (a team hasn't been managed that badly since Andrea Moda!) but it's a shame he's gone. He was a bloody good driver in his day, especially in touring cars.

For me TW was TWR and that means big Group C Jags but his association with the big cat went back before that. As JRS said he was as good in the cockpit as out, most notably in the Jag XJS both in Europe and abroad -
