to much motors forum ? (I really think so)

you read the thread once. from then on your replies, and other peoples replies only take a min at most to read. Its only when you join a thread late that it takes time to read what other people have said.

You also read other threads that you don't post in though surely?

I'd say 5 minutes per post is about right for the total amount of time spent on here, reading, posting, mocking, insulting, whatever... :p

Shock as people found on computer hardware enthusiast website enjoy sitting in front of computers.

Tune in tommorrow for breaking news from North America, where bears have been found to **** in the woods :p

 really?

Yea but surely time spent reading and postcount are not really related? Some people don't read anything and spam GD all day. Other people read everything and rarely contribute themselves. Then there are all sorts of people in between.

Fox, how much do you post on other forums? I know you are on PH as well as a few BMW forums.

Hardly ever - just PH really, and pretty infrequently. I read the BMW forums but have found it better to not post unless I have to :p

Can't wait for tomorrow.......

Surely you'll spend more time reading threads than you would posting in them. So the time actually spent on the forums is much greater.

But does it really matter? Posting on OCUK, gaming, drinking yourself into oblivion, sleeping, watching pointless TV/films.

We all do things others would consider 'a waste of time' though from our own viewpoint they're enjoyable. As long as you do actually leave the house at somepoint during the day it doesn't matter.

Very true but as a rough stab for the sake of the discussion I don't think 5 minutes is too far off the mark for your average poster. It's certainly a better guess than 30 seconds IMO.

Perhaps not but even so, I don't see why everyone has such an issue with the figure? If anything, for the average poster it would need to go up, not down.

At your PPD it puts you at just under 3 hours a day - I'd say it's a reasonable guess at how long you spend on here per day, be it at home on the PC or via your mobile or wherever.

I spent WAY too much time in here, but then I enjoy reading and posting here.
Sure, a lot of it is a complete waste of time and I do get annoyed with a lot of the crap content but it's a nice way to spend the time.

It's no different to wasting hours watching crap on TV imo.

I've got nearly 10,000 posts in only 2.5 years. That's about 11 posts a day of drivel :(
