Were you watching the same fight as me?
Maidana got caught with a body shot which stunned him. Khan was punch drunk for around 2 rounds and could bearly stand. His legs were totally gone. Cortez was the one who went into Khans corner to say, "If you take any more punishment I'm going to stop it. I'm here to protect you.".
I'm not sure who you are responding too? me?
Till the 10th was it when Khan got "caught" Maidana did, literally nothing. Some love taps, and some pushing that could loosely be described as punching if you're a 4year old girl.
Are you ignoring the whole bit from round 1 to round 10, where Khan didn't just knock out the guy who, couldn't hurt him in the slightest. Is Khan really that worried about taking a lucky very weak haymaker that he refused to just finish him off.
The hit to the guys chest, frankly, he should have gone at him hard in the first minute of the next round, fight over. But he didn't, 3-4 punch combo's here and there, Maidana plodding around throwing the slowest and most pathetic looking haymakers I've seen in some time(outside of a playground). Khan managed to not really come close to knocking him down and really at no stage tried more than a 4-5 second flurry of punches before he backed away.
IN the 10th, one of Maidaia's slow and painfully obvious punches actually caught Khan, I didn't see a replay of the punch to be honest, as he kept going at him after that, I don't know how good a shot it was, but judged on the other 600+ pathetically crap punches he threw in the fight I doubt he threw a David Haye power haymaker at him to hurt him.
Yes Khan held on for a couple rounds, two rounds where Maidana kept loving tapping him and showing no quality at all.
AS for negativity, I see a great and competitive football match, I say it, Chelsea/Spurs was a great watch if lacking in end product. barca games are so one sided, its like watching a boxing match when you know the result, no where near as good. Even worse is when you know the result and the better fighter/football team doesn't even get out of 1st gear and puts on a fairly dull walk through the opponent display.
Khan seemed to think he had an easy fight, and maybe he'd milk it, round 1-10 was one utter weakling following a hugely stronger guy around the ring, and the stronger guy refusing to put him down, then 2 rounds he had to work hard to stay up during. It wasn't quality.
