Blackberry 9700 users - OS6

Having said that, after a few hours of use of talking on bbm etc my memory went down to 20mb and using the phone was pretty much a no go. The loading clock pretty much wouldn't go away and the phone finally came to a halt... a battery pull fixed this.

My signal now cuts out after a minute of switching on in my area (used to have full 3G signal). I think it's a phone/software fault due to it happening after I switch it on :(

Nevermind, exactly the same happened to my friend's phone when she came round, Vodafone must be FUBAR'd in Sheffield City Centre, can't see this being a good day for vodafone!

Heads up guys, theres been another OS6 leak for the 9700...its not official but tbh theres no big difference between a leaked and official other than the carrier approval on official OS's.

Anyhow its here so go forth and enjoy: http://crackberry.com/leaked-os-6-0-0-380-blackberry-bold-9700

Bum.. ya beat me!!.. I've been running it all morning (saw it yesterday but didn't have my USB cable handy!!)..

Smoother (again) but can't see much difference to .358 all the changes must be under the bonnet!!.. hope the memory leak has been plugged (or at least tightened!!).. I'm giving 'Social Feeds' a go this time too!! :)

Wondering if anyone can help me...

I'm plugging the official (and a spare) cable into my laptop + phone but for some reason desktop manager isnt picking the mobile up(ive tried different usb ports too)? I sometimes get an error on the phone saying there isnt enough power to charge the phone.
I've not had this issue before. I usually get a message prompt up on my mobile screen asking if i want to charge/storage/sync or something along those lines. I'm not getting that anymore... strange...

Could be a dodgy usb cable??...ive had that issue before as well but tried another cable and it worked...try another cable if you have one.

I've tried 2 cables, both with the same issue. The phone still bleeps when i connect it to the computer, making me believe that it could be a software issue?

Has there been an official release date set for this yet?

No but tbh installing a leaked OS is no different from an official release...only difference is that it's only missing the network stamp of approval....that's all in a nutshell...you could wait for an official OS but it won't be any different to a leaked one...if there's a bug in the leaked version then if they make it official then there most probably will be a bug in the official version.

Friend of mine is having some trouble with her BB, keeps freezing on her. Said I'd upgrade the OS as there's a newer release of 5 out than she has on her 9700, but didn't want to kill it with OS6 if it wasn't official yet.

Might give it a go tho if you think it's kosher. Can I roll it back to OS5 easy enough if 6 doesn't play the game?
