TV Burp ?

Lately it suffers from focussing too much on the soaps/X-Factor and trying to make characters/sketches from it, though maybe it doesn't help that I don't watch those kinds of programs. When it's just general observations on the program it's 10x better. Favourite bits being Dr. Robert Winston ('I'm here on the edge of a dormant volcano in the Phillipines... when really, I should be at work.') and the Fussy Eaters programs where he just takes the ****. I'll still watch despite the downturn, though hopefully it'll pick up again.

wow does anyone really watch this ? only ever caught a few bits and it seems to be stupid beyond belief, never actually met anyone who watches it :p

That's because you only watch a few bits of it. If you haven't watched it all you just wont get the jokes. It's full of in jokes, recurring jokes, evolving jokes etc. Yes it's silly and childish, but actually quote funny in places.

It occured to me that while watching one of the last eps that someone who hadn't seen the previous few eps would have NO IDEA what was going on and why a particular joke got such a laugh.

Read the wiki page for more info.

I never liked Harry Hill before this - The stuff he comes out with on TV Burp though is just pure comedy gold :D

Have to say, I never laugh at it. I love comedy all of types but I can't get into Harry Hill at all.

Just seems like the most dumbed-down comedy on TV. No offence to those who like it. :D

Agreed - it's easy, "turn your brain off" type humour :p Perfect for a Saturday night :p

The funniest bits are still the three quick-fire gags after each advert break. It has been getting weaker this series (get rid of Wagbo and bring back the Knitted Character!) but it's still good for a laugh.

He has some very good writers behind the scenes on this, they have to be careful because of the time slot it goes out in.
