Good online shops for buy speakers and audio equipment from?

Don't think you can name places incase they're competitors but i'd say that the one you mentioned are for the very budget end of the range.

It depends what you want to spend really as to where i'd recommend

ive got about £1000 at mo but not sure how much i wont to spend lol does richersounds.com take paypal does ny one know? overclockers don't do audio stuff do thay

My guess is he wants prebuilt Home Audio stuff Mike :)

I agree that they don't sell audio stuff but they can be fussy (with the cross over of pc speakers/headphones etc)

What do you want for your £1000? Not sure many places take paypal. You might be best using ebay if thats how you prefer to pay

Yeah. Hifix are good.

I've never enjoyed the Peter Tyson website for browsing though if you know what you want then they have good prices.

Have you considered buying used? You'd get a lot for your money in that price range

I'd really recommend buying proper HiFi in person, after a demo, rather than on the web. Just choosing on best price or stand alone reviews isn't the best way when it comes to music systems. A good and knowledgeable dealer should be able to put together equipment from different manufacturers to make something that plays music with a bit of soul.

Bought mine from Petertyson and found them great to deal with, even haggled the price and got £300 off my MA RS6 AV package. This was nearly two years ago.

I got my Monitor Audio speakers from Peter Tyson (4 x BR5, centre and sub) and they knocked a bit off so it came to just over £1k, this was in July this year.
I've also bought from Superfi.co.uk with no problems either.

It's definitely worth demo'ing something before you buy, rather than going purely on other people's opinions. We all hear things differently so what's magic to one person can be slightly bright to another. That said used is definitely the best way to get amazing value for money, and with this kind of kit people generally take good care of it so it's not like you'd be buying something with a lot of wear.

As already mentioned, Peter Tyson are good and both times I have bought something from them, all I had to do is ask and they gave a decent discount.
