no they aren't but they may change the chips or do some marking exercise, unlikely he will get away with it

It's all about costs though.

If it costs more than $1.5 million to swap all your chips over for a new design, is it worth it?

From a purely monetary point of view no it isn't, however from a reputational point of view it might be worth it.

I'm sure they'll have some things they can do from the off to help though, reading the full article for instance it says some of the chips stolen have a value of $25k which they reckon will be tricker to try and cash in due to the high value.

The security does seem a bit crap there. Yeah, lots of cameras everywhere but I reckon it wouldn't be that hard to run out of the door with a handful of chips.
