fair enough but I dont read every thread on here and I cant see an announcement from another forum member as a thread.

If thats the case why are there still 10+ in stock judging by all the interest surely it should be 0 now ???

well they have over 1000+ in stock hence why they have not sold out - i guess most threads should be culled, including this one

£279 for a 6970? That's a bloody good price given that AMD stated they should have charged more then the £300 they ask for the 5870 when that originally showed up.

At this time unless you want the cards for running 4+ monitors at a time there seems little point going for a 6850 or 6870 when OCUK have 5870 cards for £180 in stock as the bang for buck on those at that price is unreal!

Pity I want 1 card to run four monitors!

plz... thats all @ 2560x1600, at 1920x1200 the 6970 is only ~11-12% faster than a 5870
