My latest piece of must-have kit. Shame about the tacky branding on the front bezel. Other than that, whats not to like?

damn, wish i had bought 2 d5's instead of a ddc 1t pro as well for my other loop, as well as 2 delrin res'.

oh well, looks a gorgeous bit of kit

Can be used with 1 D5

Building parallel loops with Laing D5 (MCP655) pumps just got easier! RP-450X2 is a dual 5.25" bay reservoir designed for one or two D5 pumps (not included)

Machined from a solid piece of acetal, the RP-450X2 has a thick acrylic window and front aluminum bezel.

Two sets of G 1/4 BSP threaded inlet and outlets appear on the back, designated "P1" and "P2" for each pump. If one pump is used, an acetal blocker is included to occupy the second pump location.

But AFAIK its a single res with two pumps, like the old XSPC dual DDC bayres before they put the separator in v2 to have two separate loops.

Only issue I know of is that the inlets and outlets are placed quite close together so not all barbs other than Koolance can be fitted next to each other. Just waiting for an etailer to confirm whether Bitspower comp fittings fit ok then I'll purchase.

Can be used with 1 or 2 D5 pumps.

The new DD bay res for the D5 is also looking good - and there is the new T4 too.
A few people have already been sent some to replace their dead T3's.

But I do like that koolance one - they've had quiet a few new products that are exceptional inc the chunky tube res and the CPU-360

Hi mike gunnz, using the XSPC D750 RES/PUMP no complaints so fare. Would be nice to have some photo's and temp's when installed of Koolance RP-450X2 Dual 5.25" Reservoir please.

Cheer's Oldphart.

Not really in the same league in terms of build quality.

Might also have been how you had it rigged up. I've had dual 12v DDCs in an XSPC drive bay res b4 and not experienced much noticeable vibrations.

the xspc does not look as good quality your right.

but i think it was because in the coolermaster haf they didnt fit right. ive heard of a few people having same problem and with 2 mcp355 going the xspc and not that good IMO

so i would wait for a few review of this before getting one. ill not be like my set up now. D5 + swiftech micro res v2

i had a xspc version and had 2 loops same water.

had this gpu/rs240 and cpu/rx360 the rs240 is over kill for a gpu only loop so when the water was mixed in the res it helped the cpu ( not that it needed it) so if you had a set up were you had maybe a gpu/rs240 cpu/rs240 then it would be great for you

Ok, my Koolance 450RPx2 arrived from Wales this morning after ordering on Saturday which is pretty good considering the weather related issues...Unfortunately the in-laws have my camera so no pics till after Xmas I'm afraid. :(

Anyway I'm awaiting some other bits and pieces to arrive including another EK GPU block so my loop revamp probably won't take place till after the Xmas festivities have been and gone.

Initial impressions of the res are excellent and the build quality is absolutely superb. The res feels extremely solid and at approx 1200 grams its reassuringly weighty too. It looks as if its been machined from a single piece of Delrin.

Yes, at £105 plus delivery its expensive but given the £50+ price tag on some acrylic XSPC reservoirs this is in another league in terms of materials and build quality.

The Koolance branding on the front is actually more greyish than white like in the publicity shots so its fairly unobtrusive. Only potential issue is that there are no vibration dampening washers included with the screws, but I won't know if that makes a difference until after installation.

Lastly, somebody over on the Koolance forums reckoned that the inlets and outlet threads were too close together to accept anything other than Koolance compressions. This isn't the case. I've added Bitspower matte black compressions with room to spare between them. Nice to see Koolance use G1/4 threads throughout including the fillports..

Thats it, more to come...;)
