SB or not for Non Gamer ?

If you're not in a rush then see what SB has to offer (and see if other things see any kind of price drop). Depending on which software you're using a Phenom II X6 might also be a good option.

If you can wait - I would.

Looking at this preview SB will offer very nice performance for video encoding and other CPU heavy tasks.

Thanks for that mate. Do you know what the price might be on them when they come out ? The one for the i5 is very cheap at the moment. Or do you think OverClockers might do a Overclocked Bundle on the SB when it comes out

:)

Overclockers will almost certainly have pre-overclocked bundles available as soon as the CPUs come out. They have for the past few CPU releases - so I wouldn't expect SB to be any different.

As for the prices, they should fall in line with current s1156 prices for i5 and i7 chips - though expect a price premium over the current chips as these prices have slowly come down since launch. Since you will not be gaming, you may want to consider going for one of the cheaper motherboards and use the money saved to pick up an i7 SB chip -as the hyperthreading will give you a boost in performance when video editing.
