:cool:Yeah but the post you was replying to was tongue in cheek. & yes I do hate it. so I'll try again later & hopefully won't be able to connect like the others.
 
Mr chives have you posted something thats gone right above my head? I must point out that I've finished for xmas now & had a few stella so cut it out!!!:)

Do you not find it annoying when people seem to have nothing better to do in their lives other than to post one liners on every mundane thing? Ie...just burnt the toast/must make a dash to facebook & tell the whole world. (what???) else....just recieved a friendship request from some unknown person...usually gay. (nothing against gays). etc etc. Just gonna check if my facebook is down yet. ;)
 
Facebook is actually a waste of effort, at least things get discussed on forums. And I saw that Zuckerberg is Time Magazine person of the year for "changing our lives". I guess it doesn't clarify that it has to be for the better. If it is down, long may it continue!
 
freaking facebook is still having issues :(

granted facebook is pretty useless, but the new profiles are better at least

I already liked Facebook but I am reading The Facebook Effect by David Kirkpatrick and now I absolutely love it! The whole thing is absolutely mindblowing. It is definitely changing lives and I'm sure it could be argued for the worse and better.

Loads have been upgraded by Facebook including mine. :( They also switched on a new Questions and Answers feature along with some changes to administration of pages but they have switched it off again, it's possibly what broke the site earlier.
 
I only ever post on fb if I'm bongo'd on booze and then feel slightly dirty and disgusted when I sober up. Much like after finishing a marathon pr0n session actually.
 
Anyone else thinking of just ditching it? The only thing posted is rubbish, poorly written guff by attention seekers and low self esteem muppets.

Granted, it's ideal for seeing pictures of mates on nights out, but that's it. Having the app on my phone makes me check it more than I care to through habit.

I've been considering this too, getting a bit fed up with it. I don't like having full control over my profile, and most people just post utter crap on there.

Problem is, it is a genuinely useful social tool in some cases - keeping in touch with people who live further away, arranging nights out etc :/
